Quality Mark launches in the North East


The venues for the North East launch of Quality Mark have been announced.

There are three events scheduled to introduce the government's anti-cowboy initiative to builders in gthe region:

  • 23 February, Ramside Hall Hotel, Durham.
  • 24 February, Newcastle United FC.
  • 26 February, Thistle Hotel, Middlesbrough.

Construction minister Nigel Griffiths said: "Quality Mark can uniquely help progressive building firms in the North East improve their business and those firms can help government satisfy the overwhelming demand from homeowners for properly safeguarded, good work."

So far the scheme has been launched to the public in Birmingham and Somerset; and has been promoted to builders in Leicestershire, east Kent, Oxfordshire, Warwick, Solihull, Coventry, Leeds, Nottingham, Derby, Northampton, Bolton, Carlisle, Chester, Manchester, Wigan, Liverpool, Blackpool and Preston.
