Jarvis, as a part of the Interhealth Care Services UK consortium, has won the contract to run two specialist orthopaedic centres in the North West.
Jarvis is responsible for the construction, refurbishment and facilities management of two diagnostic and treatment centres (DTC) in Cheshire & Merseyside and Worcester (Kidderminster). The consortium also features Interhealth Canada, a private health care management company.
The award is part of the Department of Health's independent sector DTC programme to create 26 centres using international teams of technicians.
Only two-thirds of the projects were announced last September; the award of programmes in London, the South East and Basildon have still to be announced.
