The Holyrood project is still on target, according to presiding officer George Reid today (Tuesday).
In his latest monthly report to MSPs, Reid said the overall cost of the project had stayed at £401m since November and had not shown an increase for the third consecutive month.
The project, which was originally priced at £40m, was expected to open in 2001.
However, delays in completing the committee towers and the need to speed up work to meet the July completion date could lead to additional costs.
The costs current sit at £396.5m plus a programme
contingency of £4.6m, although the previous progress report
put the cost at £389.4m, with a contingency of
£11.8m.
