Asbestos surveys on council properties - Maidstone Borough Council

MAIDSTONE BOROUGH COUNCIL
PROPERTY, PROCUREMENT AND PROJECTS ASBESTOS SURVEY
INVITATION TO TENDER
Maidstone Borough Council is seeking to appoint a contractor to
undertake asbestos surveys of a range of council properties.
The Council requires type 2 asbestos surveys, as specified in HSE
Document MDHS 100, to be undertaken at a range of properties located
within Maidstone including: office buildings, car parks, leisure
facilities, works depots etc, totalling approximately 40,000m2 floor
area.
The Council is seeking expressions of interest in tendering for this work.
Interested organisations should include with their returns:
* Details of UKAS accreditations and outline information on
their quality and safety management systems
* Outline information on asbestos survey teams available for
the work and their qualifications and experience
* Information on recent similar projects undertaken
Invitations to tender expected to be sent: 02.02.04
Tenders to be returned by: 25.02.04
Appointment of successful contractor: April 04
Work to be completed within six months of appointment
