DTI considers 450 job losses
The Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) has revealed that up
to 650 staff could be relocated out of London and into the regions,
and 450 staff made redundant, as part of a review that is taking
place.
A DTI spokeswoman told CJ: "As part of a review into the DTI, there
are proposals to move 650 people out of London and the South East
and into the regions. The review is also looking at the possibility
of letting up to 450 jobs go."
Asked if these plans would affect the construction directorate, she
said: "No decisions have been made as to which departments will be
affected - it is still early days. So far the proposals are
non-specific."
