Expressions of Interest for the 'Programmed Annual
Servicing, Repairs and Replacement of Gas and Hot
Water Appliances' Partnering Contract.
Plymouth City Council's Housing Department is seeking expressions of
interest, in writing, from suitably experienced Contractors who are able
to deliver a Gas Servicing Programme, incorporating repairs and
replacement of Gas and Hot Water appliances, who wish to be
considered for inclusion on the Council's select list, to deliver in
partnership with Plymouth City Council's Housing Department a
programme for the 'Central/West' and 'South' areas of the city.
The Partnering arrangement is anticipated to commence in June 2004,

for a 5 year period, to be in line with our Decent Homes Programme. The
Council objective will be to seek continuous improvement and ongoing
delivery of Best Value throughout the period to meet performance
targets.
The area Central/West and South have approximately 14,000 appliances
with an estimated annual budget of £600,000.00 for servicing, repairs
and replacement of gas and hot water appliances.
Contractors interested in being considered for short-listing should
contact Mr Steve Griffiths, Team Leader (Support), Social & Housing
Services, Housing Department, Plymouth City Council, Civic Centre, PL1
2AA. Tel: 01752 307062, no later than 1st March 2004, 12.00noon. to
provide a business questionnaire to identify suitability for inclusion onto
the select list. This questionnaire needs to be returned no later than 8th
March 2004, 12.00 noon.
Contractors will then be invited to attend an Open Day on 17th March
2004 with representatives of Plymouth City Council, where a briefing
pack including a Partnering Contract Questionnaire, will be issued. The
Partnering Contract Questionnaire needs to be returned no later than
16th April 2004, 12.00 noon.
Interviews will be held on 28th April 2004.
