Willmott Dixon's long-term strategic alliance with Circle 33 Housing Group has continued with a £3.6m project to demolish and rebuild a 35-unit sheltered accommodation block in Islington, north London.
The tenants who currently live in Brightwell Court will move into brand new purpose-built accommodation in North Road, called Hawberry Lodge.
The new project is the start of a series of developments that will follow the transfer of over 300 units from Islington Council to Circle 33 in March this year.
Demolition of the existing accommodation starts in March with construction work starting in June and completion is due late 2005.
The new facility will provide high-quality living accommodation
in self-contained units that include kitchens, bathroom, dining
area and lounge, with a communal lounge, hairdressing salon and
office accommodation for a manager also provided.
