Emcor wins £16m leisure centres maintenance contract

Emcor has won a £16m contract to manage the design, construction and maintenance of wet and dry facilities at three leisure centres in south east London.

The contract, won in partnership with Parkwood PFI and Boxwood Leisure, covers a refurbishment and new build programme at Crooklog, Erith and, subject to a successful planning application, Sidcup leisure centres.

Emcor will also provide the maintenance, repair and lifecycle of mechanical, electrical and fabric services for each of the centres for an extended period of 30 years.

Tony Whale CEO Emcor Drake & Scull said: "The award of a 30-year contract is a great endorsement of the trust that clients are willing to place in us.

"It is also a reflection of our considerable success in the leisure sector with recent contract awards from sites in Uttlesford, Horsham, Dorking, Thame, Bushey and Portsmouth."
