Bradford Street Scene Contracts
Bradford Council is establishing framework
contracts for the following types of work as part
of its new street scene operation:
* Highway Projects
* Painting to street lighting columns and highways structures
* Street Lighting (including removals)
* Maintenance of structures
* Guardrails  (new and the maintenance of)
* Gully emptying and jetting
* Winter Maintenance
The basis of the contracts will be non-exclusive
Schedule of Rates call-off contracts (apart from
the Street Lighting contract which will be
exclusive).
The value of anticipated orders within the
contracts will generally be in the range of
£5,000 to £50,000 but may occasionally be larger.
For larger orders contractors will be expected to
act in the principal contractor role under the
Construction Design and Management Regulations.
It is anticipated that the contracts will run
from May 2004 for a period of one year.
Suitably experienced contractors should apply to
the address below enclosing copies of their last
three years fully audited accounts together with
details of relevant experience and the names and
addresses of two referees.
Applicants must clearly indicate which contract(s) are of interest.
The closing date for expressions of interest is 4th March 2004.
