Irish worker killed on site

A 40-year-old man died in an accident on a building site in Northern Ireland earlier today (Wednesday).

The accident at Liscannor, Co Clare, happened shortly after 9am at a private house under construction in the area.

The dead man, who has not been named, was killed while unloading cut stone from a tipper truck that he was driving.

The Health & Safety Executive and police have launched an investigation.
