A Scottish firm has been fined £4,000 after it admitted failing to protect an employee who was severely injured after falling from a height at work.
Reekie Manufacturing, of Forfar, admitted failing to ensure the health, safety and welfare of its employees, particularly John Thomson who was injured when he fell to the floor from a pallet racking storage system at the firm's premises.
The company pleaded guilty to failing to provide an appropriate disassembly procedure for working at height and failing to provide the necessary instruction, training and supervision.
