Britannia Construction wins £11m worth of contracts

Britannia Construction, part of Montpellier Group, has secured two new contracts worth £11m.

Spen Hill Developments has awarded a £6.5m contract for the construction of the new Talbot Green Retail Park in Llantrisant, South Wales.  The development comprises nine units in two blocks, together with a fast food restaurant. Britannia will also be responsible for the installation of all services, off site highway works, vehicle yards, external parking and landscaping.

Britannia has also won its 75th contract for Tesco Stores, worth £4.5m, which involves extending and refitting the existing sales floor and staff area of the Cirencester store.  External works include alterations to the service yard to form a cage marshalling area and loading bay extension, plus an additional 166 car parking spaces.

Both projects are due to start on site shortly, with completion due by the end of 2004.
