Palfinger importer TH White has launched a new roll loader range
for brick and block transport.
The Devizes-based company has joined a Palfinger PK12000 lorry
crane to a Dutch-built Kennis base and added a Hatz power pack to
make the unit independent of the truck.
"Unlike many other designs, our unit drives on rubber tyres rather
than steel rollers, and has roller bearings either side of the I
beam," said Mick Wright, technical manager with TH White. He added
this not only allows the crane to travel along the bed to a load,
but also allows the unit to move while carrying a load so a smaller
capacity crane can be utilised.
Hydraulically operated pantographic stabiliser legs are an option
and units can be specified with either linear lever or joystick
control.
The PK12000 on the initial unit has an 11.6tm capacity and a weight
of around 3t. And 7.1tm, 9tm and 9.5tm units will follow, with the
smallest weighing around 2t.
To support its crane products in northern England, TH White has
extended the workshop at its Bradford depot and added overhead
craneage.
