£20m funding boost for Birmingham's Bullring project

The developer of Birmingham's £530m Bullring shopping centre project is looking to invest more than £20m to extend the city's newest mall.

Birmingham Alliance wants to redevelop a mix of more stores and city centre offices as part of its Bullring Link project.

Twenty more stores will also open as part of the work, which will offer a mix of high fashion, lifestyle, music, homeware and gift retailers.

Simon Wallis Birmingham Alliance's project manager said: "This will bring an extra dimension to the retail experience in Birmingham, seamlessly connecting the Bullring with the more established shopping in Mall Pallasades and New Street."

Completion for the extra work is set for the end of the year.
