Pipeline and Edmundson team up on MoD Project Red Dragon

Pipeline Center, part of Wolseley Centers, has joined forces with Edmundsons Electrical to provide a joint stores operation onsite at Project Red Dragon, the £71m super hangar for the Defence Aviation Repair Agency.
The shared stores resource at RAF St Athan, south Wales, is in response to Emcor Drake & Scull being awarded a £53m contract to provide M&E installation during construction and FM services for 15 years.
Pipeline Center is supplying pipes, valves and fittings for heating and hot and cold water services to be installed by Emcor Drake & Scull and also pumps for plant purposes.
"There is obvious crossover between mechanical and electrical requirements, and the stores operation partnership on this project provides good efficiency benefits all round. We feel it is also a pointer to Pipeline Center's proactive approach to producing supply chain efficiency and stores service solutions for other large projects," said Pipeline Center sales director Rafe Bateson.
