Construction fibre manufacturer launches US operation

Yorkshire-based Anglo-Danish Fibre Industries Limited (ADFIL) has launched a US operation to meet rising demand from US companies for its patented polypropylene construction fibres.

The high-performance fibres are mixed with traditional concrete and used in both above and below ground projects to provide increased durability and fire resistant properties.

ADFIL is already market leader in the UK, supplying the majority of major ready-mix concrete producers such as Tarmac, Lafarge, Aggregate Industries, Hanson and RMC.

Craig Linsner managing director of ADFIL USA said: "Setting up our US operation will allow us to emulate the success we have had in European and Asian markets. Global demand for concrete mixes using polypropylene has risen sharply thanks to growing awareness of its safety, durability and cost benefits.

"There is currently nothing in the US market that can rival the research-proven technical specifications of our product and the engineering expertise that supports it," he added.

ADFIL USA has opened an office in New Jersey and is currently looking for a network of quality distributors to supply its products throughout the US.
