Waterman reports order book growth

Multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy Waterman Group has today (Friday) reported a substantial forward order book and a strong balance sheet.

Announcing its interim results for the six months to 31 December 2003, managing director Bob Campbell said: "While margin pressures still remain, the future prospects for the group remain encouraging.

"The growth in our order book will provide us with visible, secure revenue streams for up to six years. This bodes well for the future."

Despite the upbeat mood, pre-tax profit was down to £861,000 (2002: £1.26m) even though work done during the period increased to £31.8m (2002: £30.4m).
