CC appoints new training director

The Construction Confederation has appointed Jeff Thomas as director of training.

Thomas takes over from Ellie Johnson Searle, who left at the start of the year to take on the role of chief executive at the new Joint Council for Qualifications.

Thomas has more than 20 years experience in further education, several of which were spent as course co-ordinator for all aspects of construction training within the Faculty of Science and Technology at Bedford College.

Speaking on his appointment Jeff said: "Successful recruitment and training strategies are essential to the future well-being of the construction industry and I am looking forward to working on behalf of the Confederation at this very exciting and challenging time."
