Getting things online:How Tube Lines will let the work

Tube Lines will be investing £4.4bn in Infraco JNP during the first 7.5 year review period of its 30-year concession. This will be split roughly 50:50 between operations and maintenance.

Neither Amey nor Jarvis will automatically be awarded any of the contracts, even though they are part of Tube Lines; both will have to bid for work competitively with other firms.

n Piccadilly Line stations upgrade. MJ Gleeson. Awarded August 2002. Value £117m.

n Northern Line stations upgrade. YJL Construction. Awarded September 2002. Value: £150m.
