Benson expands network

Benson is expanding its regional network by launching a new base in Maidenhead to serve the Thames Valley area.
Alan Vaux, the new regional director, will head up a management team of 15, which includes Derek Tydeman as commercial director.
Vaux said: "As well as opportunities in education, healthcare and social housing, we see encouraging signs of recovery in the commercial market, following the downturn in 2003. It is exciting to be creating a new chapter in the Benson story right in the heart of the Thames Valley."
New staff are wanted to help with the growing workload, which includes a £2.3m design and build conversion of barns into timber-framed offices for Fenchurch Estates, a repeat client, and a £1.7m performing arts block at Caldicott School near Slough.
