More trades sign up for CSCS

Building control officers and quantity surveyors are the latest construction disciplines to join the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).

The building control platinum card is now available. Thecard is for managers who hold an S/NVQ level 4.

Meanwhile members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors can now qualify for their own badges. Previously surveyors qualified simply for a visitor's badge, but now they are recognised by the scheme, gaining their own chartered quantity surveyor badge.

More than 180 occupations are now covered by CSCS.
