Jarvis beats Kajima in race for £50m PFI schools project
Jarvis has turned the tables on Kajima to emerge as preferred
bidder for a £50m PFI schools scheme in northern
England.
Jarvis and the Japanese contractor were the only firms contesting
Manchester City Council's grouped schools deal, after a third
contestant, Vinci, turned its back on the project.
Last year, Kajima saw off Jarvis to clinch Darlington Borough
Council's £25m education village deal. The scheme includes
constructing a secondary school and two primary schools.
