WANDSWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL
EXTERNAL REPAIRS AND REDECORATIONS (PHASE 3)
INCLUDING WINDOW RENEWALS AT KAMBALA ESTATE,
BATTERSEA, LONDON SW11
General building contractors, who have a proven
experience in undertaking external redecorations
and associated repairs with PVCu window renewal
involving intensive work within occupied
residential properties, who wish to be considered
for selection to tender for the above works at
the Kambala Estate, Battersea, London SW11 should
submit their names to the Landlord Services
Section at 17-27 Garratt Lane, Wandsworth, London
SW18 4AE by 7th May 2004.
The estimated cost for this scheme is anticipated
to be in the region of £800,000 with tenders

expected to be sought in July/August 2004.
Contractors applying must be able to demonstrate
their abilities to undertake the works in their
application, which must include details of
similarly sized contracts undertaken. All
applicants must provide the following information
with their reply:-
(a) The full name of the company wishing to tender;
(b) the names and addresses of three
technical referees, with details of particular
projects, who are able to provide a reference of
the applicants' competence specifically in this
type of work;
(c) a copy of the company's latest audited
accounts which should not be more than 18 months
old;
(d) the names and address of the company's banker;
(e) confirmation that the company are insured
for Public Liability of at least £5,000,000;
(f) a copy of the company's Construction
Industry Tax Deduction Certificate;
(g) evidence of acting in the role of
Principal Contractor under the 1994 CDM
Regulations on similar schemes; and
(h) the names of the periodical in which this advertisement was seen.
In addition, if a contractor is shortlisted to
tender, they will be required to submit a copy of
their company's Policy Statement produced in
accordance with Section 2(3) of the Health and
Safety at Work etc Act 1974.
Applicants must refer only to the above-mentioned
scheme in their reply. Accompanying applications
for other advertisements placed by Wandsworth
Borough Council will be ignored. Late
applications will not be considered.
The work under this contract will be carried out
under the direction of Mr C. Buss, BA CPFA,
Director of Housing and enquiries relating to
