Murphy turnover inches up
Latest annual results filed for civils contractor Murphy, covering
the 12 months to 31 May 2003, show turnover higher at £34m, a
rise of £1m on the previous year, but with pre-tax profit
easing back to £1.6m from £2.2m in 2002.
The total pay to Murphy's directors jumped to £404,000
from the previous tally of £360,000.
Documents filed at Companies House this week state that the
directors regard Greenane, incorporated in the Isle of Man, as the
company's ultimate holding company, with the added comment that "in
the opinion of the directors there is no controlling party of
Greenane".
Two of Murphy's six directors are also the directors of J Murphy
Cable Contractors and Civil Engineers.
