Having invested £194m in R&D, £94m on its production
plants and made the transition to Fiat Kobelco, CNH is set to be a
"good solid contributor to the bottom line," the company said at
Bauma.
The company used the show to reinforce its multi-brand strategy
with Case, Fiat Kobelco, Kobelco, New Holland and O&K all
sharing one 10,000m2 stand.
Worldwide construction equipment business president Harold
Boyanousky said that the company has undergone the most ambitious
product renewal programme in the industry and has produced 266 new
models in three years. "The individual brands could not have done
this on their own," he said adding that, contrary to rumours, the
Case-Sumitomo alliance is still strong.
Outside, evidence of the multi-brand strategy was on display with
new mini excavators sporting the badging and colours of O&K,
Case and New Holland.
The rollout across the brands also included backhoe loaders (Case,
New Holland and Fiat Kobelco), wheeled excavators (O&K, Fiat
Kobelco and Case), crawler excavators (Fiat Kobelco and O&K)
and short swing excavators (New Holland and O&K).
