Five to bid for A47 bypass
Five firms have picked up the tender paperwork for a Highways
Agency scheme near Peterborough, worth between £13m and
£18m.
Kier, Birse, Alfred McAlpine, Jackson and May Gurney will tussle
for the A47 Thorney bypass, which is being let as a target cost
deal.
The works include constructing 5km of two-lane dual carriageway,
three roundabouts, a bridge and alterations to side roads.
Construction is expected to take 78 weeks.
