150 CITB jobs 'at risk'

CITB-ConstructionSkills said any failure to secure planning permission for the major redevelopment of its National Construction College in Norfolk would result in the loss of 150 jobs.
CITB-ConstructionSkills is seeking to sell off part of the Bircham Newton site for a 250-home development (CJ 7 April). This would help fund a £12.5m renovation of the training
centre.
The board said changing requirements and deterioration of the existing buildings mean it is facing the closure of its gymnasium, swimming pool, and half of its residential accommodation over the next three to four years.
