Barnard can show off steel benefits

Water and wastewater products manufacturer Barnard has launched a service to show how fabricated carbon steel pipe designs compare against other materials, such as ductile iron.
Barnard aims to provide consulting engineers and contractors with a redesigned alternative of how an existing ductile iron design would compare with fabricated carbon steel. The company claimed it can demonstrate that in
many cases steel can provide a quicker, more flexible and
economic solution.
"By combining steel fittings, which require fewer joints, savings on labour and materials are difficult to ignore," Barnard said.
