Provision of social housing - Erimus Housing


ERIMUS HOUSING

Erimus Housing has been created to undertake the
provision of social housing from Middlesbrough
Council.
On or around the 1st October 2004, almost all of
the Council housing, in the ownership of
Middlesbrough Council will transfer to Erimus
Housing.
The transfer includes requirements to modernise
and improve properties with a total programme
value in excess of £100m, scheduled for the first
5 years of operation.
The refurbishment works will include a wide range
of tasks including, but not limited to, the
installation of upvc windows and doors,
re-wiring, central heating
installation/replacement, replacement kitchens,
replacement bathrooms, and other building,

construction, and environmental works.
The overall contract will be split into two parts
- Supplies and Works. Erimus is seeking
expressions of interest from potential partner
agencieswho may wish to be considered.

Supplies (Ref:2004/3.1)
The supplies element of the contract will involve
partnering the complete supply chain element from
manufacture to on-site delivery. Erimus are
looking for a supply chain partner who can
provide a wide range of goods and materials
including Central Heating Boilers, Electrical
Fittings, Fitted Bathrooms, Fitted Kitchens, upvc
doors and windows and other building
accoutrements.

Works (Ref:2004/3.2)
Erimus Housing will undertake part of the
refurbishment programme using the existing
Internal Trading Organisation (INTO). It is
envisaged that they will have a capacity to
undertake approximately 25% of the work content.
All other works will be procured externally.  The
works will in general not include for the supply
of goods, materials, fixtures and fittings, which
will be sourced from a separate contract
arrangement, based around a partnership for the
complete supply chain management arrangement as
above.
To register an expression of interest in being
considered for either the supplies or works
contracts, and to receive a copy of the
pre-qualification questionnaire/s, organisations
should apply to the address shown below.
This must be returned fully completed with all
necessary supporting documentation, no later than
12 noon, Monday 10th May 2004.  Organisations
failing to provide all relevant information in
conjunction with the pre-qualification
questionnaire or failing to submit the fully
completed questionnaire by the specified date may
be rejected.
