Metso adds mobile crusher

Metso Minerals has extended its contractor range of mobile crushing plant with the launch of the Nordberg LT1110S.
This track-mounted machine features a detachable screen, 1,040mm x 800mm feed opening and is capable of processing up to 300t/h in primary and secondary applications.
As standard, the unit has a 5m3 feed hopper with hydraulic folding walls and a vibrating feeder. Power is derived from a 250kW Caterpillar engine.
For the best screening capacity, the LT1110S is equipped with two rotation directions, the company said. For ease of servicing and mesh changes, the screen also incorporates a hydraulic lowering system.
Meanwhile, Metso has introduced an epoxy-based backing material, which is said to reduce operating costs on cone and gyratory crushers.
The XT Backing Material has been developed as a dampener and reinforcement layer to go between the supporting cone and mantle on cone crushers and the concave segments on gyratory units.
Available in standard 10kg tins, the compound can be mixed and ready for use in minutes. It has a curing time of 24 hours, and reaches full compressive strength after approximately five days.
