Gardiner to head Jarvis in Ireland

Pat Gardiner, formerly managing director of Jarvis Projects, has become managing director of Jarvis Accommodation Services (JAS) in Ireland.

Gardiner will expand Jarvis's interests in Ireland from its existing offices in Belfast and Dublin, as health and education opportunities increase.

He told CJ: "Jarvis has excellent relationships with quality contractors and consultants in Ireland and so there is an excellent foundation on which to build."

Jarvis has five schools in operation in the Republic and the delayed £132m Cork School of Music is back on track for financial close within a matter of weeks.

Gardiner's move follows Jarvis Projects becoming part of JAS last month, and has led to other senior management changes within JAS. Stephen Hornby has become director of development, Mick McKeever is operations director for the north of England and Dave Evans is operations director for the south.
