Barhale Construction has won its first AMP4 deal with Thames Water potentially worth £500m.
Barhale is Thames' network agreement contractor for north London for up to 10 years, subject to a rigorous cost and performance regime. Barhale hopes the contract will be worth between £30m and £50m a year.
Andy Flowerday, Barhale's managing director, said: "This is excellent news and represents the best possible start to our AMP4 campaign nationally.
Barhale is also bidding for Thames' process framework agreements.
