Entry forms for the second round of the 2004 Construction Photography Competition for amateur photographers, a joint initiative between CITB-ConstructionSkills and Contract Journal, are now available.
Once again, amateur photographers are invited to submit images showing a successful and dynamic construction industry. Round two entries must be submitted by 2 June.
Whatever angle you choose must capture the imagination of the
next generation of construction team members as the brief is to
inspire young people to find out more about joining the industry.
To this end, all winning entries will feature on a calendar which
will be mailed to schools at the end of the year.
The competition began on the 10th March and the final date for
entries is the 31st August. Between now and then, Contract Journal
will be featuring a selection of the best entries, with the hot
shot of the month winning £200 worth of camera equipment
vouchers. The overall prize this year is £2,000 worth of
camera equipment and there is £1,000 worth of camera equipment
for the popular choice winner.
Winners will be announced on the 7th October at Contract Journal's annual Construction Industry Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane. The shortlisted photographers will be invited to the ceremony as our guests to hear the overall winner and popular choice winner (voted for by CJ readers and Awards Dinner guests) announced.
