Clients to benefit from BRE merger

The Building Research Establishment (BRE) has merged its energy and environmental engineering divisions so it can provide a much more integrated service to its clients.

The new group called BRE Environment will enable BRE to provide focused support that will help organisations meet the growing call for a comprehensive approach to the development of a sustainable built environment.

The new grouping will provide specialist advice, design consultancy and technical services at every stage of the building life cycle.

Dr David Strong, managing director of BRE Environment, said: "Over the past 10 years, BRE has advanced the understanding of what environmental sustainability is and how it can be achieved.
