Barhale bags Thames Water deal
Barhale has joined the band of contractors that have tapped into
Thames Water's fourth asset management programme (AMP4) with a deal
that could potentially top up the company's coffers to the tune of
£500m.
The West Midlands-based firm's network agreement deal is worth
between £30m and £50m a year for each of the first five
years of the scheme. There is an option to extend the deal by a
further five years, depending on cost and performance assessment by
the client.
Barhale's brief includes replacing sewers and dealing with leakages
in north London.
The company joins Morrison Utility Services and Enterprise, both of
which have already scooped work for Thames Water under AMP4 (CJ 6
May).
At least six other contractors have also clinched AMP4 work with
Thames Water and details of these deals should become available
during the next few weeks.
