HIGHWAYS MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT SERVICE PFI
Birmingham City Council invites organisations to
make an application to be considered for
inclusion on a select list of tenderers to
negotiate to provide a range of highway related
services including:
* Rehabilitation of the Highway Network
* Highway Management Activities
* On-going Maintenance Requirements/Street Cleansing
* Operational Responsiveness
The Council envisages that the total value for
the project will be approximately £2.2 billion
(in cash terms) for a contract period of up to 25
years. The single contract which is due to
commencein April 2006 will need significant
initial investment (estimated at £170 million) to
rehabilitate the City's highways network during
the early years.

Expressing an Interest by 30th June 2004, quoting
reference PROC/0091 and stating whether you wish
to receive a hard or electronic copy of the
Information Pack, Application Questionnaire and
Invitation to Submit Outline Proposals (ISOP).
In order to address any initial queries following
receipt of the documentation, a Bidders'
Conference has been arranged which will be held
on 15th July 2004 in Birmingham.
Thereafter, both hard and soft copies of the
completed Questionnaire and ISOP should be
returned by 13th August 2004.
