FINANCIAL AND ASSET MANAGEMENT
FORMATION OF 'ONE STOP SHOP'
CIVIC CENTRE, WEST PADDOCK
LEYLAND, LANCASHIRE
Applications are invited from established and
suitably experienced contractors who wish to be
considered for inclusion on a Select List of
Tenderers of approximately four companies for the
above works. The works comprise internal
alterations to part of the ground floor of the
Civic Centre to form high quality reception and
office areas similar to those of a bank or
building society. Approximate value of the Works
is £250,000.
Applicants will need to satisfy the Council
regarding their financial viability, technical
competence, previous and recent experience of
similar work, etc. The information used to aid
selection will be that detailed on the
application form.
The tender process will involve two stages. First
stage tenders will be invited during June 2004
for Management/general costs and a Schedule of
Rates. Soon after receipt the tenderers will be
required to attend an interview and one
contractor will be chosen to work with the
Council's lead consultant to finalise the design,
Specification and Schedule of Works and negotiate
a final cost for the whole of the Works. During
that time the contractor will be expected to
prepare and plan for the Works to start early in
September and be completed in November 2004.
