Selection of Contractors for Responsive
Maintenance and Void Reinstatement Contracts to
Council Property and Dwellings 2005 - 2008
The current contracts for this work come to an end on 31st March 2005.
The Council invites expressions of interest from
contractors interested in tendering for contracts
for the following work.
Housing Contracts
1. General building repairs to Dwellings, approximate value £600,000 per annum.
2. Reinstatement of void Dwellings, all trades:
approximate annual value £350,000 per annum.
The contracts are for work to approximately 3,000
Council owned properties within the Council's
District.
Non-Housing Contract
3. Reactive Building and Engineering Maintenance,
at a value of approximately £250,000 per annum.
The contract is for work to approximately 200
buildings within the Council district comprising
Schools, Youth and community centres, Children's
and old peoples homes and offices.
The duration of the contracts will be no less
than three years; and no more than five years.
The tenders will be evaluated on the basis of
both price and quality. Contractors must
demonstrate experience of, and commitment to,
providing a high quality, cost effective service
and on housing contracts be able to work with
tenants in monitoring and developing the service.
Successful contractors will be required to have a
base within or adjacent to the District.

express an interest by applying for, completing
and returning a Tender List Application
