ROAD MARKINGS
TERM CONTRACT FOR PERIOD FROM 1 JANUARY 2005 TO 31 DECEMBER
2007
The London Borough of Barnet wishes to establish a contract for
Road Markings.
Expressions of interest are invited from suitably
qualified and experienced contractors who wish to
be considered for inclusion in the tender list
for the above contract.
The works are to be tendered on a "schedule of
rates" and include road marking on existing and
new surfaces, maintenance markings and ancillary
works on highway or other public areas within the
London Borough of Barnet. Approximate value of
works undertaken each year is generally between
£120k to £150k.
Applicants will be required to complete a
Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) giving
details of the company(ies) profile including
financial information. This will be used in the
evaluation process from which an invitation to
tender list will be produced.
It is this authority's view that the Acquired
Rights Directive 77/187/cc and/or the transfer of
Undertakings (Protection of Employment)
Regulations 1981 (T.U.P.E) may apply.
A performance bond and/or a parent company
guarantee may be required before a contract is
awarded.
The proposed commencement for the contract will
be 1st January 2005 and the contract period will
initially be for 3 years with the option to
extend up to 2 further years subject to
performance.
Expressions of interest must be made in writing,
clearly quoting the Contract reference number
1015 and must be received by no later than 12
noon on Monday 21 June 2004.
The closing date for the return of the PQQ must
be no later than Friday 25th June 2004 at 12
