Emcor to supply M&E services to Yorkshire building

Emcor Drake & Scull has been awarded a £3.5m contract to provide mechanical and electrical (M&E) services for a new state-of-the-art building in North Yorkshire.

The contract, awarded by the world's largest international card processor, TSYS, will involve extensive work at its new data centre complex, as well as a two-storey office building.

Specific M&E work will include the installation of lighting; general power; fire and security and access control; and a fully integrated Building Management System.

Other services will be a fire suppression system; free cooling units; downflow units; dual chilled water distribution; mechanical ventilation; domestic hot and cold water services; four pipe fan coil units, as well as above ground drainage and central oil storage tank.

The main contractor on the project is Quarmby Construction.
