Willmott Dixon gets greenlight for The Orchard

Willmott Dixon has been given the go-ahead to build The Orchard primary school in Sandwell.

The school follows the successful development of The Meadows, a secondary school for children with complex and profound learning difficulties. The Orchard is the second of three planned new special schools in Sandwell.

The £7.7m project is the first education partnering scheme that Sandwell Council has undertaken and the construction of the 110-place primary school ias due to start on site in January 2005. Completion is set for summer 2006.
