Following the opening of its UK headquarters in Monmouth, south
Wales, Italian specialist machinery manufacturer Colmar said its
T4300FS and T10000FS rail loaders have achieved full UK Engineering
Acceptance Certification (GMRT1300 Issue 4).
This means all restrictions and limitations previously placed on
the T10000FS are removed.
The company said its machines are specifically designed for railway
line maintenance rather than conversions, and their design allows
normal train circulation on adjoining tracks while work is in
progress. The design also eases working in tunnels and restricted
spaces.
An extendable rear counterweight on the T4300FS can increase its
lifting capacity by up to 20% and the T10000FS is probably the
strongest machine on the UK market in terms of lifting capacity,
the company said.
In certain conditions, the T10000FS, which has an operating weight
of about 30t, can lift as much as 15t.
Both machines have extendable dipper arms, two-seater cabins,
state-of-the-art controls and are offered with a complete range of
interchangeable lifting, excavating and maintenance accessories.
