Search invests in Land Rover and Iveco hydraulic platforms
As part of a planned £100,000 investment, Leeds plant hire
firm William G Search has unveiled four vehicle-mounted hydraulic
platforms.
Two go-anywhere 14.5m platforms are mounted on Land Rover 130s and
the other two 11m machines are mounted on 3.5t Iveco Daily
vans.
In choosing the 4WD Land Rovers, group hire operations manager
Andrew Collings plans to add rail contractors, TV/film crews, tree
surgeons and others requiring vehicles for potential off-road use
to its customer base.
"The Land Rovers feature unusually big platforms for this size and
type of vehicle and this enables us to meet the hire needs of a new
range of customers," he said.
The two new Iveco vans enlarge the fleet in an area where there is
strong demand, Collings said, and take the fleet to 30 units
ranging from 9m to 30m.
