New website for contracts

A website that explores the UK's rich array of suites of standard engineering contract forms is set to become available to the construction industry's supply chain.
Contracts-expert.com analyses and compares these suites. An interactive matrix highlights the differences and identifies the areas that are essential or desirable for a number of construction industry disciplines.
Contractors, consulting engineers, architects, contract draftsmen, lawyers and project managers are set to benefit.
The matrix analyses how each contract form deals with some 440 topics, arranged in 22 topic groups. Differences between the forms and gaps in coverage are clearly shown.
More than 30 forms have been selected for analysis, taken from the major suites, which cover the main engineering disciplines from civil engineering to computer systems.
The site thereby provides the basic information needed for compiling and interpreting contracts for multi-disciplinary and commercially complex projects, where the standard contract forms require significant amendment.
