Jackson Construction has secured a £3.4m project to build a new health and community centre facility for the University of East Anglia, Norwich.
The project, which is part of the University's east campus redevelopment, will see Jackson construct the multi-purpose building on former tennis courts - providing the university with a new doctor's practice, dental practice and nursery.
Jackson will also carry out the shell only construction of a
dispensing pharmacy and laundrette. The building is predominantly
single storey, with a central two-storey block housing the doctor's
reception area and waiting room, with the dental practice on the
upper floor.
Significant external works include the construction of a play area
for the nursery, car parking at the front of the building, as well
as soft landscaping and the creation of paved access areas.
The project will start in mid-July and is due for completion July
2005.
