External works Phase 1
Applications are invited from suitably qualified
and experienced contractors wishing to be
selected to tender for the construction of the
above contract located in Perth City.
The area adjacent to the new Concert Hall in
Perth is to be Pedestrianised. High quality
materials will be used to enhance the building
and surrounding environment. The Tender will
include full construction, drainage, lighting and
other associated works.
It is anticipated works will be carried out
during the period January 2005 to June 2005.
Estimated Value of the Works is £750,000 to
£850,000.
The tender will be awarded on a Quality/Price split of
75%/25%.
Quality and Price will be separately evaluated.
Contractors wishing to be considered for
inclusion on the tender list should submit
written expressions of interest to Executive
Director of Planning and Transportation, Perth
and Kinross Council, Pullar House, 35 Kinnoull
Street, Perth PH1 5GD, not later than 12 Noon on
16 July 2004, including the following information:
1 A statement of the company's policy on
Health and Safety with specific reference to: the
training and welfare of site staff; details of
staff with specific responsibility for safety,
their position in the company and their relevant
qualifications and experience. Applicants must
accept the appointment of 'Principal Contractor'
under the CDM Regulations 1994.
2 Details of Bankers with authorisation to
obtain financial references and copies of audited
accounts for the last 2 years.
3 Details of any similar projects
undertaken in the last 5 years with details of
technical references.
