TERM CONTRACT FOR HIGHWAY WORKS 2004
Highways and Transportation Service.
Tenders will be invited for the Council's Term Contract for Highway Works 2004.
The Contract will be for the Civil Engineering
construction of various works on the Public
Highway in specified schemes in the range of
£50,000 to £350,000. The Contract will be for one
year, renewable for up to three subsequent years,
commencing 1st November, 2004. The Contract will
be let under the Restricted Procedure of the
European Union. Candidates will be assessed in
compliance with the Council's Contract Rules
Procedure. The Criteria to be met will be
Technical Competence and Resources, Turnover,
Financial Soundness, Compliance with Health and

Safety Requirements, Equal Opportunities Policy
and Experience of Work in the Public Highway.
Initially Candidates who wish to be considered
should apply for an information sheet, and those
who wish to proceed will be sent a questionnaire.
The questionnaire will indicate the supporting
documentation that each candidate is required to
supply.
The closing date for return of the application
and questionnaire is 15th July, 2004.
