Kier Western has won a £2.3m project to build a new state-of-the art primary school near Devon for the Governors of St. Catherine's Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School.
The single-storey school in Newton Abbot will replace the very old portacabins and Victorian building currently in use and will comprise seven classrooms, a hall, offices, library and nursery facilities.
Built on pile foundations with precast concrete floor, brick faced elevations and steel and aluminium roofing, the project is scheduled for completion in April 2005.
Architect for the project is Harris McMillan, quantity surveyor
is Randall & Simmonds and Queste Structural Consulting is the
engineer.
