Dean & Bowes has been awarded a £2.6m refurbishment project for Primark in Sunderland.
The contract to convert a former Woolworths store into a new Primark outlet will see Dean & Bowes carrying out refurbishment across five floors of the building.
The specialist will carry out major structural alterations
within the building, including the relocation of all existing
staircases to rationalise sales space, the installation of two new
escalators and two new lifts.
Dean & Bowes will also create new staff amenity areas and
refurbish office facilities on the third floor and install M&E
services as well as a new sprinkler system throughout the Primark
store.
Externally, the new outlet will boast an entirely new granite
frontage - running the entire length of
the building.
The project is due to start in mid-July and is expected to
complete in November.
