Industry to get IT support to improve business

Construction companies will now be able make better use of IT in their business practices, provide expert advice and pass on information and guidance on new IT technologies following the launch of a new initiative today (Wednesday).

The IT Construction Forum has been formed after Construction Best Practice integrated its activities with Constructing Excellence (CE).

Dennis Lenard, CE chief executive, said: “The IT Construction Forum will generate competitive e-commerce advantages for the linked participants in integrated teams that will help to ensure the industry develops an improved, innovative image within the UK and throughout the world."

John Connaugton, director of the IT Construction Forum, added: "Opportunities arise daily for businesses to improve their performance through more effective use of IT.
